Fed: Australians in Japanese drug bust
The federal government has confirmed two Australians have been arrested in Japan on
drug offences.
DFAT says the Australian embassy in Tokyo has sought access to the men .. and will
provide consular assistance if requested.
Earlier .. foreign news services reported a Australian man who teaches English in Japan
had been arrested with five colleagues on suspicion of possessing cocaine and cannabis.
36-year-old ADAM RENWICK .. an Australian living in Kawagoe and five other foreign
nationals .. were said to be suspected of possessing some 1.5 grams of cocaine and some
8.2 grams of cannabis.
